TryItOn ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TryItOn Chrome extension and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account via Firebase Authentication, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information.
Photos & Images
To provide virtual try-on results, you upload a photo of yourself. Clothing product images are captured from the websites you visit. These images are sent to our servers for AI processing.
Usage Data
We collect anonymized usage data such as number of try-ons, feature usage, and error logs to improve our service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the virtual try-on service
- To process your images and generate try-on results
- To manage your account and subscription
- To sync your Digital Wardrobe across devices
- To improve our AI model and service quality (using anonymized, aggregated data only)
- To communicate with you about your account or service updates
3. Image Processing & Storage
Your photos are not stored permanently. When you submit a try-on request, your images are processed server-side by our AI model and the results are returned to you. Source images are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours of processing. Try-on results saved to your Digital Wardrobe are stored only as long as you maintain your account.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers: Cloud infrastructure (for image processing), Firebase (authentication and storage), payment processors (for subscriptions)
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit. Images are processed in secure, isolated environments. We implement access controls and regular security audits to protect your data.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Delete your personal data and account
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we don't sell your data)

7. Cookies & Tracking
The TryItOn extension does not use third-party tracking cookies. We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management.
8. Children's Privacy
TryItOn is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Uploaded photos are deleted within 24 hours of processing. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States. By using our service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
